Italian Fascist Prime Minister Benito Mussolini was removed from office.
The result came from a decision by Italy’s Grand Council of Fascism, Mussolini’s main body of government. What followed was the establishment of a new government, the arrest of Mussolini, and an end to 21 years of Italian Fascism.
