A woman in Rome became the first person to receive a bionic hand that can sense touch.
An Italian woman, who lost her left hand in an accident nearly 25 years ago, became the first patient in the world to receive a portable bionic hand with a sense of touch. The recipient, Almerina Mascarello, a woman in her 50s, said: “it’s almost like it’s back again”.
